LAS Airport to Las Vegas Strip

The best transportation from Harry Reid International Airport depends on your terminal, hotel entrance, group size, luggage, and schedule. LAS has different taxi and rideshare pickup points at Terminals 1 and 3. Confirm the terminal first, then compare a taxi, rideshare, rental car, public transit, or prearranged car using current prices and the amount of coordination your trip requires.

Identify the correct LAS terminal

Terminal 1 and Terminal 3 have separate ticketing and baggage-claim buildings. Terminal 3 handles international airlines and some domestic airlines. The D gates are a satellite concourse reached by tram from either terminal, so “D gate” does not tell a driver where the traveler will collect bags. Use the airline and the airport's current flight information to confirm baggage claim.

If people land at different terminals, decide whether each person will be collected separately or use the airport's inter-terminal shuttle to meet. Do not tell travelers to move terminals without identifying a specific meeting point and accounting for luggage and accessibility.

Taxi pickup

The airport's taxi and rideshare page places Terminal 1 taxis outside baggage claim on the east side near doors 1–4. At Terminal 3, the taxi area is outside on Level Zero near door 52. Join the official queue and use the airport's posted directions.

For trips from the airport to the Strip, LAS says taxis operate on a flat-rate system organized by destination zone. Use the airport's official taxi page and current flat-rate map to identify the hotel's zone before joining the queue. The airport also says taxi fares are regulated by the Nevada Taxicab Authority and that all taxi companies accept credit cards. A taxi can suit a traveler who is ready to leave and does not need a coordinated multi-stop itinerary.

Uber and Lyft pickup

LAS directs rideshare pickups into its parking garages. At Terminal 1, the official rideshare instructions place pickup on Level 2 of the parking garage: take the elevator near Door 2, cross the pedestrian bridge, and follow the pickup signs. At Terminal 3, take an elevator near doors 52, 54, or 56 to Level 1, cross the bridge, then go down to the Valet Level.

Wait until the party has collected its bags before requesting. Match the driver, vehicle, and license plate shown in the app. App prices and wait estimates change with demand, so check them when the group is ready rather than relying on a historical range.

Prearranged car service

A prearranged Las Vegas airport transfer is useful when a traveler wants a confirmed reservation, has a detailed hotel or event schedule, or needs several arrivals coordinated. Provide the flight, airline, terminal, passenger mobile number, destination, and all bags and equipment. The reservation should state the pickup method and meeting point; do not assume every provider meets inside baggage claim.

Drivers who arrive early can use the free cell-phone lot rather than circling or waiting at the curb. The airport currently warns of lane closures in the airport connector tunnels through December 2026. Check the airport alert close to travel and allow the pickup time to reflect current road conditions.

Hotel arrival on the Strip

Give the full hotel name and the requested entrance. Casino resorts can have separate main, valet, rideshare, tour-bus, convention, and tower entrances. A property name alone may send a vehicle to the wrong side of a large resort. If the traveler is attending a convention, include the convention center or meeting venue separately from the sleeping-room hotel.

For a departure, set the pickup at an entrance the vehicle can legally reach and the guest can identify. Check out before the vehicle arrives, allow time to retrieve stored bags, and confirm whether a major event affects the hotel's normal driveway pattern.
