Boston Logan International Airport has four terminals: A (Delta, Alaska), B (American, United), C (JetBlue — the largest carrier at BOS), and E (all international flights). Logan is just 3 miles from downtown Boston — one of the closest major US airports to its city center. This guide covers every terminal, which airlines are where, all lounges, Silver Line access, and car service pricing throughout Greater Boston.
Boston Logan is only 3 miles from downtown Boston — significantly closer to the city center than JFK (15+ miles), LGA (8 miles), or EWR (16 miles). The Ted Williams Tunnel makes for a fast, direct connection to I-90 and downtown. Despite this, Logan has notoriously congested access roads — the on-airport roadways and Central Artery ramps can back up significantly during rush hour (7–9 AM and 4–7 PM).

Gates A5–A22 · Delta Air Lines · Alaska Airlines
Terminal A underwent a major renovation completed in 2021, making it one of the most modern terminals at Logan. Delta Air Lines is the primary carrier, operating flights to its Atlanta (ATL) and New York (JFK) hubs, plus direct service to major US cities and select international routes. Alaska Airlines has a smaller presence at Terminal A.
Post-security. Delta Sky Club membership or qualifying ticket access. Standard Sky Club amenities — food, beverages, Wi-Fi. The Terminal A Sky Club was renovated as part of the A renovation in 2021.
Gates B22–B43 · American Airlines · United Airlines · Air Canada
Terminal B houses American Airlines, United Airlines, Air Canada, and Porter Airlines. It's split into two concourses (B2 for American; B3 for United/Air Canada). American is a significant presence at BOS with hub connections to New York JFK, Philadelphia, Charlotte, and Miami.
Gates C17–C42 · JetBlue Airways · Cape Air
Terminal C is JetBlue's hub at Boston Logan, and JetBlue is the largest carrier at BOS by number of flights. Terminal C was rebuilt as part of Logan's modernization and is the most contemporary of the four terminals. JetBlue has deep roots in Boston — BOS is one of JetBlue's focus cities alongside JFK and Fort Lauderdale.
The JetBlue Mint Lounge at BOS is exclusive to Mint (JetBlue's business class) passengers. It's a stylish, intimate lounge with craft cocktails, farm-to-table menu, and locally-inspired design. Unlike legacy airline lounges, there's no general membership access — you must be flying JetBlue Mint to enter.
JetBlue Mint routes from BOS include: JFK (shuttle), LAX, SFO, LGB, FLL, and transatlantic London Gatwick, Amsterdam, and Edinburgh.
JetBlue transatlantic at BOS: JetBlue launched transatlantic service from BOS in 2023, with Mint business class flights to London Gatwick (LGW) and Amsterdam (AMS). These flights are among the most cost-competitive transatlantic business class options, often priced significantly below BA, Virgin, and Air France on the same routes.
Gates E1–E18 · All Non-US Carriers
Terminal E handles all international departures and arrivals that aren't operated by US carriers. Boston has strong transatlantic connectivity — particularly to Ireland (Aer Lingus), the UK (British Airways), France (Air France), the Netherlands (KLM), Germany (Lufthansa), and Iceland (Icelandair).
Terminal E international arrivals: All international arrivals at Logan clear CBP (Customs & Border Protection) in Terminal E. After clearing customs, passengers can take a free shuttle bus or walk to the other terminals. Your Detailed Drivers chauffeur meets you in the Terminal E arrivals hall after customs.

JetBlue operates from Terminal C at Boston Logan. JetBlue is the largest carrier at BOS and Terminal C was designed around JetBlue's operations. The JetBlue Mint Lounge (for Mint business class passengers) is in Terminal C. JetBlue flies from BOS to virtually every major US city plus transatlantic routes to London Gatwick and Amsterdam.
Delta Air Lines operates from Terminal A at Boston Logan. Terminal A was renovated and reopened in 2021. Delta Sky Club is in Terminal A. Delta runs hub connections from BOS to Atlanta (ATL) and New York (JFK), plus direct international service including Amsterdam, Paris, and London.
American Airlines operates from Terminal B at Boston Logan. Terminal B is split into two concourses — B2 (American) and B3 (United). The Admirals Club is in the B2 section. American flies from BOS to its hubs in JFK, PHL, CLT, and MIA.
The fastest option from Logan to downtown Boston is black car service (15–25 min via Ted Williams Tunnel, meets you at baggage claim). The Silver Line SL1 bus is free from the airport and takes about 20 minutes to South Station, where you can connect to the Red Line. Taxis are available at the Ground Level of each terminal. The trip is only 3 miles, but congestion on airport roads and the tunnels can extend drive times during rush hour.
Yes — Boston Water Taxi operates a boat service from the Logan Water Shuttle dock (near Terminal A) to Rowes Wharf (downtown) and Quincy Market/Long Wharf. The trip takes about 12 minutes and costs $30/person one-way. It runs April through October, seasonally. It's a unique and often faster option when road traffic is heavy.
Yes — Logan has Central Parking and Terminal Garages at each terminal. Daily rates are $35–$45 for Terminal Garages (short-term) and $22–$28 for Economy Lots. The Central Parking Garage is connected to Terminals A and B via walkway. For longer trips, an off-airport park-and-fly lot is cheaper — expect $12–$18/day.
Boston Logan is consistently ranked among the most congested US airports for on-time departures, partly due to its single main runway configuration and New England weather (fog, ice, snow). Summer thunderstorm season and winter nor'easters can cause cascading delays across the network. Pre-arranged black car service is recommended for time-sensitive early morning or evening flights.
Yes — TSA PreCheck lanes are available at all four Boston Logan terminals. Global Entry enrollment centers are at the CBP facility in Terminal E. CLEAR is also available at Logan in all terminals. If you have an international arrival, Global Entry expedites customs — you use the Global Entry kiosk and typically bypass the standard CBP line.
