Wedding bookings use the same fleet and chauffeurs as our Los Angeles car service. Is a chauffeured wedding car better than Uber, a taxi, transit or driving yourselves?

On a wedding day the question is less about price than about who is responsible for getting everyone there on time.

What does "wedding limo" mean here?

Many couples search for a wedding limo and expect a stretch limousine. We should be clear: we do not have one. What we provide is a chauffeured luxury vehicle that does the same job on the day. The First Class SUV seats up to six and gives the couple the second row to themselves. The Sprinter Van seats up to 14 with standing headroom, which makes it the practical choice for a bridal party. The Business Sedan suits parents, grandparents or a quiet getaway after the reception. A Mercedes S-Class can be requested for the couple's exit.

We do not offer stretch limousines. Party buses are quoted per event; share your guest count, stops and schedule to request a quote. If what you want is a clean, comfortable car with a chauffeur who keeps to the timeline, that is what this service is for. Our luxury car service in Los Angeles page describes the vehicles in more detail.

How to plan a Los Angeles wedding-day timeline with transportation

Los Angeles traffic is the main risk on a wedding day. A 20-mile move between Beverly Hills and Malibu or Pasadena can take 35 minutes on a quiet Saturday morning and well over an hour in the late afternoon. Build the timeline around the drives, not the other way around.

  1. Getting ready. The vehicle arrives 15 minutes before the planned departure so photos at the car can happen without eating into the drive.
  2. To the ceremony. Plan the drive time from the table above plus a buffer. On the 405, the 101 and Pacific Coast Highway on a Saturday afternoon, add more.
  3. Photos. If photos are at a second location, the car waits and then moves the couple and wedding party on. Tell us about parking or loading limits at the photo spot.
  4. To the reception. Guest shuttles can run loops while the couple finishes photos.
  5. The exit. The getaway car can be a separate vehicle booked for the end of the night, which often costs less than keeping one car for the whole day.

Send us the run of show, with addresses, times and the number of people at each step, and dispatch will suggest how many vehicles and how many hours you need. For open-ended days without a wedding schedule, see hourly car service in Los Angeles.

Guest shuttles and out-of-town arrivals

Guest transportation is where a wedding gains or loses time. When guests drive themselves to a venue in Malibu or the hills, parking becomes the bottleneck and someone has to drive home. A Sprinter Van running between the guest hotel and the venue removes both problems. One van carries up to 14 people per trip and can make several loops during a booked block; for 60 or 80 guests, two or three vans keep the waits short.

Out-of-town family usually lands at LAX. Arrivals can be met with flight tracking and taken straight to the wedding hotel, with the meeting point confirmed before the flight lands. The full arrival process is explained on our LAX car service page. If several relatives arrive on the same flight, a Sprinter Van is usually simpler than two or three separate cars.

The rehearsal dinner and the morning-after brunch are often the forgotten pieces. Both can be added to the same booking so the couple deals with one company for the whole weekend.

Prom transportation in Los Angeles

The same vehicles handle prom night. A group of up to 14 students rides together in a Sprinter Van, $940 for four hours all-in, and a smaller group fits a First Class SUV at $580 for four hours. Parents usually make the booking, agree the pickup addresses, the venue and any photo stop in advance, and receive the chauffeur's details before the night.

The chauffeur follows the agreed schedule and drops students back at the agreed addresses. Alcohol is not permitted in the vehicle for passengers under 21. For the photo stop, pick somewhere with easy curb access; popular viewpoints can be crowded on prom weekends.

Destination weddings within driving distance of LA

Plenty of Los Angeles couples marry outside the city, and their guests still fly into LAX. The longer runs are priced by routed miles, the same way as a city trip. Santa Barbara and the Santa Ynez Valley wineries are a common choice up the coast; guests usually book LAX to Santa Barbara car service. Desert weddings in Palm Springs and the Coachella Valley use LAX to Palm Springs car service, and coastal resort weddings in South Orange County use LAX to Dana Point car service.

For these weddings, the usual plan is a Sprinter Van timed to the main group of arriving flights, then local hourly service at the destination for the ceremony and reception. Tell us early: long-distance vans have to be scheduled around the drive both ways, and summer and fall weekends book up first.

How to book wedding transportation with us

Booking starts with the facts dispatch needs to plan the day: the date, every address in order, the times you need to arrive, and how many people move at each step. With that, we suggest the vehicles and the number of hours, and the price is calculated from the rate engine before you confirm. You can start online through the reservation form or call (310) 907-5114, and compare vehicle photos and capacities on the Detailed Drivers fleet page.

Send us
Date · addresses in order · arrival times · passengers per step · venue loading or parking rules · a day-of contact
You receive
Vehicles and hours proposed · all-in price before you confirm · chauffeur name and contact before the day · the cancellation window in writing
On the day
Chauffeur arrives before the first departure · stays with the vehicle between stops · extra time billed hourly only if the day runs long

Weddings often stretch across a weekend. Rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, after-parties and the drive back to LAX on Sunday can all go on the same booking, which gives the couple one point of contact and one invoice. If you have a wedding planner, we work from their timeline and keep them copied on changes.

No. We do not operate stretch limousines, Hummer limos or vintage cars. Party buses are quoted per event. Our wedding vehicles are the First Class SUV (such as a Cadillac Escalade ESV), the Business Sedan, and the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter Van for up to 14 guests; a Mercedes S-Class is available on request. When couples ask for a wedding limo, this is what we provide: a chauffeured luxury vehicle, not a stretch.

Most couples book three to five hours. A simple plan, getting ready to the ceremony and then to a nearby reception, fits in three hours. If photos happen at a second location or the reception is across town, plan on five or six. The vehicle stays with you for the whole block, and you can add time on the day if the schedule runs long.

Yes. One Sprinter Van carries up to 14 guests and can run several loops between a hotel and the venue during a booked block. For larger weddings, two or more vans can be scheduled. Guest shuttles are priced by the hour for the whole van, not per person.

Yes. Arriving guests can be met at LAX with flight tracking and taken to the wedding hotel. LAX to the Beverly Wilshire is $230 in a First Class SUV and $630 in a Sprinter Van for a group, for 12.3 routed miles, all-in.

Yes, in the same vehicles. A Sprinter Van for a prom group of up to 14 is $940 for four hours, all-in, and a First Class SUV for a smaller group is $580. A responsible adult should make the booking, and the schedule and stops are agreed in advance.

For spring and fall Saturdays, book as early as you have the date and venue, ideally a few months ahead. Vans are usually the first vehicles to fill on popular weekends. Final timings can be adjusted closer to the day.

Yes. Rehearsal dinners, welcome parties, after-parties and Sunday airport runs can all be added to the wedding booking, so the couple has one contact and one invoice for the weekend.

Yes, for hourly bookings. The vehicle and chauffeur stay with you for the booked block, parked nearby or at the venue's designated area, and move when the timeline calls for it.

Yes. A separate vehicle can be booked for the exit only, with the three-hour minimum: $360 for a Business Sedan or $440 for a First Class SUV, all-in. Many couples find this costs less than keeping one car through a long reception, and a Mercedes S-Class can be requested for the exit.

The chauffeur stays with you and the extra time is billed at the hourly rate for that vehicle: $150 per hour for a First Class SUV and $240 per hour for a Sprinter Van, all-in. Let the coordinator or the chauffeur know as soon as the timeline changes.
