Madison Square Garden sits on 7th Avenue between West 31st and 33rd Streets, above Penn Station; Barclays Center is at 620 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, over the Atlantic Av-Barclays Ctr subway station. Detailed Drivers serves both arenas with hourly cars that drop you at the right entrance, wait, and drive you home at a price fixed when you book.

Event nights run on the same fleet as our hourly car service in NYC and the wider NYC car service network. Brooklyn game nights connect with our Brooklyn car service, and suite groups and client outings usually book a Sprinter van rental in NYC.

Where do cars drop off and pick up at Madison Square Garden?

Cars drop off and pick up on the avenues around the arena. Madison Square Garden's directions page says there is no officially designated rideshare zone at the Garden, and that guests are dropped off and picked up along 7th Avenue or 8th Avenue between 31st and 34th Streets. The Garden's Access-A-Ride stop is on 7th Avenue southbound just north of 31st Street, and the venue asks box-office ticket holders to use that 7th Avenue side.

The arena sits directly over Penn Station, so the sidewalks on 7th and 8th Avenues carry commuters and fans at the same time before a 7 PM or 7:30 PM start. We suggest planning to reach the avenue 45 to 60 minutes before the listed start, which leaves room for security lines without standing outside for long.

After the event, the chauffeur does not wait at the curb on 7th Avenue; that stretch fills with buses, taxis and app cars within minutes. On an hourly booking the chauffeur stays nearby and texts you a pickup corner on 7th or 8th Avenue between 31st and 34th Streets, matched to the exit you plan to use. Walking one block away from the main doors usually saves more time than waiting at them.

Barclays Center car service: drop-off zones on Atlantic and Flatbush

Barclays Center has three marked zones for cars. According to the Barclays Center A-Z guide, two drop-off and pick-up zones run along Atlantic Avenue outside the VIP Entrance and the Atlantic Entrance, and a third sits on Flatbush Avenue outside the Main Entrance. The Access-A-Ride stop is on the south side of Atlantic Avenue next to the arena, closest to the Event Level VIP Entrance.

Suite and VIP guests usually want the Atlantic Avenue side; general-admission fans coming from Flatbush Avenue are closer to the Main Entrance zone. Tell us which entrance is printed on your ticket and the chauffeur uses the matching zone for both drop-off and pickup.

The arena's getting-here page notes that the 2, 3, 4, 5, B, D, N, Q and R trains stop directly below the arena and that the LIRR's Atlantic Terminal is across the street, so the surrounding blocks are busy with pedestrians on every event night. From Manhattan, the drive from Grand Central is about 6 miles; from JFK it is about 14.

Who plays at MSG and Barclays Center in fall 2026?

The fall season at both arenas runs on hockey, the start of the NBA season and a heavy concert calendar. These are dates listed on official team and venue sites as of October 5, 2026; start times vary by game, so confirm yours before booking.

Opening nights and playoff games fill quickly, so book those a week ahead, especially for a First Class SUV or Sprinter Van. Regular-season weeknights usually need 24 to 48 hours' notice, and same-day requests depend on availability. For more on game days across the region, read our NYC game day transportation guide.

Is a car service better than Uber, a taxi, the subway or driving to the game?

A reserved hourly car is the easiest way home after a sold-out game, because the car is already yours when a full arena empties at once. Transit is faster for a solo fan heading somewhere on a direct line. The table sets out the trade-offs.

What is included on every event booking?

Every MSG and Barclays Center booking carries the same written policies as the rest of our service.

On-Time Guarantee

If your chauffeur isn't at your booked pickup address by your scheduled pickup time, we refund the full fare. Every booking, every vehicle, every city, 24/7. The full terms are on our service guarantees page.

All-in pricing

Gratuity, tax, card processing and standard tolls are in the price. Airport transfers to the arenas also include the Port Authority airport access fee and the MTA and New York State per-trip charges. Extra hours beyond the booking and stops you add are the only changes. Overtime is billed for the actual additional minutes at the applicable per-minute rate for your selected vehicle.

Flying in for the game

Airport arrivals are flight tracked. Inside meet-and-greet is included at no extra charge on every sedan and SUV airport pickup; for Sprinter vans and buses it is an add-on with a second team member, quoted at booking. Arriving on game day, start with our JFK car service or LGA car service and go straight to the arena.

Cancellation

Sedan and SUV bookings receive a full refund when cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Sprinter bookings receive a full refund when cancelled at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations inside the applicable notice period are charged in full. If your flight is cancelled, there is no cancellation charge. These windows apply unless your quote says otherwise: event bookings and high-demand dates can carry a different window because of event pricing and availability, and your quote will state it.

Companies hosting clients in a suite can bill event nights to a corporate car service account in NYC. For other venues and tours, see our concert and entertainment transportation page.
