CLT Concourse Guide: A Through E

Concourse A — American Airlines Domestic
Concourse A is the first concourse off the Gold Concourse and handles American Airlines domestic flights on shorter-range routes, primarily to Northeast and Midwest destinations. Gates A1–A28. Admirals Club lounge is located in Concourse B but accessible from A via the Gold Concourse without exiting security.
Concourse B — American Airlines Hub + Admirals Club
Concourse B is one of the primary American Airlines hub concourses handling high-frequency routes to New York (JFK, LGA), Boston, Chicago (ORD), and Miami. The Admirals Club lounge in Concourse B is the first of two AA lounges at CLT and is accessible to Admirals Club members, AAdvantage Executive Platinum, and Citi/Barclays AA card holders. Concourse C — American + Non-AA Carriers
Concourse C handles both American Airlines flights and the handful of non-American carriers that operate at CLT: Delta Air Lines, United Airlines (limited), Spirit, and Frontier. If you're flying any airline that isn't American, you are almost certainly in Concourse C. Gates C1–C34.
Concourse D — Premium American + Centurion Lounge
Concourse D is the premium concourse at CLT. It handles American's transcontinental and select international flights including London Heathrow (LHR), Frankfurt (FRA), and Paris CDG. The American Express Centurion Lounge is located near Gate D9 in Concourse D — it is one of the busiest Centurion locations in the network, so lounge access may have a wait during peak morning and evening waves. Concourse E — American Regional + Caribbean/Latin America

LYNX Blue Line: Light Rail from CLT
Charlotte's LYNX Blue Line light rail provides a direct, traffic-free connection from CLT to Uptown Charlotte and the South End neighborhood. Rail Limitation: Suburbs and Business Parks
The LYNX Blue Line serves Uptown Charlotte and South End effectively, but does not reach SouthPark, Ballantyne, University City, Lake Norman, Concord, or most suburban Charlotte destinations. For suburban business travel, a pre-arranged car service is the only practical option from CLT.
