What is included on every JFK to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal booking?

Every booking on this route carries the same four written policies, and they apply the same way to a single sedan or a Sprinter for a family group.

On-Time Guarantee

If your chauffeur isn't at your booked pickup address by your scheduled pickup time, we refund the full fare. Every booking, every vehicle, every city, 24/7. For airport pickups we track your flight, so the On-Time Guarantee follows the actual landing time: your chauffeur is waiting when you land and texts you. If they are not, we refund the full fare. The full terms are on our service guarantees page.

Inside meet-and-greet at JFK

Every sedan and SUV airport pickup includes inside meet-and-greet at no extra charge: your chauffeur waits inside the terminal at arrivals and texts you when you land. For Sprinter vans, minibuses and coaches, the chauffeur stays with the vehicle, so inside meet-and-greet is an add-on: a second team member meets your group inside, at an extra cost quoted at booking.

All-in pricing

The price you are quoted is the price you pay for the transfer as booked. It already includes gratuity, tax, card processing, standard tolls, the Port Authority airport access fee and the MTA and New York State per-trip charges, so none of them is added at the curb. Extra stops, extra waiting beyond the included time and changes you request are the only things that move it.

Waiting and cancellation

Airport pickups include 45 minutes of complimentary waiting for domestic flights and 60 minutes for international flights, starting when the flight actually lands. We track your flight. Non-airport pickups include 15 minutes of complimentary waiting. Sedan and SUV bookings receive a full refund when cancelled at least 48 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Sprinter bookings receive a full refund when cancelled at least 72 hours before the scheduled pickup time. Cancellations inside the applicable notice period are charged in full. If your flight is cancelled, there is no cancellation charge. These windows apply unless your quote says otherwise: event bookings and high-demand dates can carry a different window because of event pricing and availability, and your quote will state it.

How does drop-off work at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal?

Cars reach the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal through one gate. NYCEDC's directions page says all cars enter from the Bowne Street and Imlay Street intersection, and the agency worked with Google, Waze, Apple, Uber and Lyft so navigation sends drivers to that Bowne Street entrance rather than the Wolcott Street gate, which is used as an exit on weekend ship-call days.

According to NYCEDC's April 2025 Brooklyn Cruise Terminal traffic plan, about 96 percent of surveyed passengers arrived by private vehicle, mostly because of their luggage. To keep that traffic moving, taxi and for-hire pickups were moved closer to the terminal, Van Brunt Street approaching Bowne Street is "No Standing" on Sundays from 6 am to 3 pm, Bowne Street is enforced as "No Standing Anytime", and NYPD traffic agents may stop right turns onto Bowne Street and send cars around via Commerce Street and Imlay Street.

What that means for your transfer: the chauffeur does not stop on Van Brunt Street or Bowne Street to unload. The car follows the traffic managers into the terminal's drop-off lanes, the chauffeur unloads every bag, and the cruise line's porters take checked luggage from there. Keep passports, medication and cruise documents in your carry-on.

The same plan notes that MSC Meraviglia turnarounds, with roughly 5,000 passengers, fall mostly on Sundays, the busiest traffic day in Red Hook, and that MSC moved to later boarding times to spread arrivals out. If you sail on a Sunday, give us the check-in time on your boarding documents and we set the JFK pickup with extra margin.

Is a car service better than Uber, a taxi, transit or driving to Red Hook?

A pre-booked car is the most direct way from JFK to Red Hook when you have cruise luggage, because it is the only option here with a confirmed vehicle size, a meet inside the terminal and a price fixed before you land. The other options suit some travelers.

How to book the JFK to Brooklyn Cruise Terminal transfer

Book through the reservation form or by phone at (888) 420-0177. The details below let dispatch size the vehicle and time the pickup correctly.

  1. Airline, flight number and scheduled landing time at JFK, and whether it is an international arrival.
  2. Ship name, sailing date and the check-in time printed on your cruise documents, plus the terminal named on them.
  3. Number of passengers, checked bags, carry-ons, child seats and any mobility equipment. A family of four with checked luggage usually needs the First Class SUV; larger groups move to a Sprinter Van.
  4. A mobile number that works on arrival, so the chauffeur can text you when you land.
  5. Your return: disembarkation date and whether you fly home from JFK, LaGuardia or Newark.

Groups of seven or more usually book a Sprinter van rental in NYC. If you fly home from LaGuardia, the return is part of our LGA car service; for Newark it runs as EWR car service.

A Detailed Drivers car from JFK to the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal in Red Hook is $210 in a Business Sedan, $260 in a First Class SUV and $660 in a Sprinter Van, all-in. The price covers gratuity, tax, card processing, standard tolls, the Port Authority airport access fee and the MTA and New York State per-trip charges. The Brooklyn Cruise Terminal at Pier 12 in Red Hook is about 16 routed miles from JFK, roughly 30 to 35 minutes with no traffic. Weekday rush hours and Sunday ship-call mornings in Red Hook can stretch that well past an hour, so we plan the pickup around your check-in time rather than the free-flow drive time.

NYCEDC directs all cars to enter the terminal from the Bowne Street and Imlay Street intersection. Your chauffeur follows that entrance to the terminal's passenger drop-off area and the on-site traffic managers' directions, then unloads your bags for the cruise line's porters. On busy mornings NYPD agents may divert traffic via Commerce Street and Imlay Street.

NYCEDC's April 2025 traffic plan lists Cunard (Queen Mary 2 and Queen Anne), MSC Cruises (MSC Meraviglia, sailing year-round) and Princess Cruises as the lines operating at the Brooklyn Cruise Terminal, with Regent Seven Seas also calling. Always confirm the terminal on your cruise documents, because New York sailings also use the Manhattan Cruise Terminal and Cape Liberty in Bayonne.

Work back from the check-in time printed on your cruise documents, not the ship's departure time. Allow for baggage claim, customs on an international arrival, and an hour or more of drive time on a busy morning. If your flight lands on sailing day, tell us the flight number and check-in time and dispatch will set the pickup with that buffer.

Inside meet-and-greet is included at no extra charge on every sedan and SUV airport pickup; for Sprinter vans and buses it is an add-on with a second team member, quoted at booking. The chauffeur tracks your flight, and airport pickups include 45 minutes of complimentary waiting for domestic arrivals and 60 minutes for international arrivals, starting when the flight lands.

On-Time Guarantee: if your chauffeur is not at the pickup address on your booking by your scheduled pickup time, we refund the full fare. It covers every booking, every vehicle and every city, 24/7. The guarantee applies to the address and time on your booking; if you change either, it follows the updated details we confirm. For airport pickups we track your flight, so your pickup time follows the actual landing and your chauffeur is waiting when you land and texts you.

Yes. Book the disembarkation-day pickup when you book the trip in: the cruise terminal back to JFK is $210 in a Business Sedan and $260 in a First Class SUV, all-in. Ship arrival is not the time you reach the curb, so share your disembarkation group and a mobile number and the chauffeur meets you at the terminal's pickup area for pre-arranged cars.
