Detailed Drivers runs reserved chauffeured transfers between Orlando International Airport (MCO) and Kissimmee in both directions. The ride is 15 to 20 miles and 25-45 minutes depending on whether you are headed downtown or to the US-192 resorts. Prices are all-in from our rate engine, the same each way, and fixed when you book.
This page covers the southwest side of the metro: Kissimmee, Celebration, and the vacation-home communities that run west along US-192 and I-4 toward Davenport and ChampionsGate. It sits under our Orlando car service hub. If you are staying at a Disney or International Drive hotel instead, the MCO car service page has those pairings, terminal by terminal.
A Business Sedan from downtown Kissimmee to MCO is $210 all-in, and the same ride from the US-192 resort strip is $240. Every price below comes from the rate engine that powers our booking widget, applied to road miles. The airport-to-Kissimmee direction costs exactly the same as Kissimmee to the airport.

All-in estimates: gratuity, tax & card processing included, rounded to the nearest $10. Tolls on SR 417, SR 528, and other expressways are confirmed at booking. Hourly service runs $120/hr Business Sedan, $150/hr First Class SUV, and $240/hr Sprinter Van, 3-hour minimum. The Mercedes S-Class is available on request.
Two things move the number. The first is the exact address: a home at the far end of a Davenport community is a few miles past one at the entrance, so the quote follows the real door. The second is the vehicle. Our honest advice: a couple or a solo traveler should book the sedan. A family of four or five with checked bags should book the SUV, because the sedan holds 3 large bags and families on a week-long trip rarely stop at three. Above six travelers, the Sprinter is the better buy than two SUVs.
Planning a full day instead of a single transfer, like a morning arrival, a stop at the rental, and dinner in Celebration? Book an hourly chauffeur in Orlando and keep the same driver and vehicle for the day.
Five realistic ways cover the 15 to 30 miles between MCO and Kissimmee. They suit different trips.
| Option | What to expect on this route | Best fit |
|---|---|---|
| Detailed Drivers chauffeur | $240 sedan all-in to US-192, booked ahead, flight tracked, met inside the terminal, gate code handled, same price both ways. | Families with luggage, vacation-home stays, groups, early flights. |
| Uber / Lyft | App pricing changes with demand, and pickups happen at the airport rideshare area rather than baggage claim. Vehicle size varies unless you pay for a larger category. | Solo travelers with light bags, off-peak. |
| Taxi | Metered from the MCO taxi stand, so the final fare depends on traffic and route. No advance vehicle choice. | Short-notice rides when no reservation exists. |
| Public transit (LYNX bus, SunRail) | LYNX runs bus service between the airport and Kissimmee with local stops. SunRail commuter rail serves Kissimmee and Poinciana stations but does not stop at the airport. | Light travelers with time and no gated-community destination. |
| Rental car / driving yourself | Daily rental and resort or rental parking, plus toll-road driving on your first night in an unfamiliar area after a flight. | Travelers who plan to drive every day of the trip. |
Where we fit is narrow and specific: the airport legs. Plenty of families rent no car at all, use a chauffeur for arrival and departure, and use park transportation or rideshare in between. If you are only flying in for one night near Old Town, rideshare may be the simpler answer, and that is fine.
Two people, two checked bags, a late-evening landing at Terminal B. A Business Sedan to the Margaritaville area is $240 all-in, with the chauffeur at baggage claim even if the flight lands an hour late.
Five travelers, seven bags, a stroller, and a guard gate. The First Class SUV runs $350 all-in. Add a grocery stop at booking so breakfast is handled before the first night.
Three families sharing one large rental. One Sprinter Van is $760 all-in and arrives with everyone at once, which beats coordinating three separate cars at the curb.
A business traveler heading out early. A Business Sedan from Celebration to MCO is $240 all-in, booked the night before, with the car at the curb before the alarm feels reasonable.
Most of the transfers on this corridor end at a rental house, not a hotel lobby, and that changes the job. Hotels have a porte-cochère and a bell desk. A vacation home in Windsor Hills or Solterra has a community entrance, often a guard or a keypad, house numbers that are hard to read at night, and a driveway where the luggage needs to come out quickly. Here is what we ask for at booking, and why.
Large groups are common out here because the rentals are large. A ten-bedroom house in ChampionsGate or Reunion can sleep three families, and they usually fly in on different flights. Two ways to handle that: one Sprinter timed to the last arrival, with the earlier groups waiting at a terminal café, or separate SUVs per family. We will tell you which costs less for your flight times. For groups that also want a day at the coast or a theme-park run, our Sprinter van rental in Orlando page explains the full-day option. For the park portion of your itinerary, compare MCO to Universal Orlando transfers and MCO to LEGOLAND Florida transfers.
Golfers are the other big group. ChampionsGate and Reunion both have resort golf, and four players with four golf bags will not fit in a sedan. Book the SUV for two players with clubs, and the Sprinter for a foursome with luggage.
The fastest routes leave the airport on the south side and use toll expressways. The usual line to downtown Kissimmee and the US-192 corridor runs on SR 417, the Central Florida GreeneWay, then west into Kissimmee. Celebration sits just off SR 417 and US-192. ChampionsGate, Reunion, and the Davenport communities are farther out along I-4 west of the theme parks, which is why those rides add 15 to 25 minutes.
Traffic on this side of the metro follows the tourist schedule more than the commuter one. Check-out and check-in days at the rental homes bring heavy traffic to US-192 and the I-4 interchanges near ChampionsGate, especially Saturday and Sunday late morning. Weekday rush hours affect the US-192 and SR 417 approaches, and I-4 slows near the parks when they open and close. Summer afternoon thunderstorms in Central Florida can slow every road for half an hour. The time ranges in our price table run from free-flow to typical traffic; add margin on holiday weekends.
For departures, we set the pickup time from your flight. For a domestic flight, we suggest being at MCO about two hours before departure, and three hours for international flights out of Terminal C. That means leaving US-192 about two hours and 45 minutes before a domestic departure, and a little earlier from Reunion or Davenport.
Coming from the other direction? Travelers based in Kissimmee often use the same chauffeur for the longer runs: our Orlando to Tampa car service leaves straight from the I-4 corridor, and cruise passengers can book MCO to Port Canaveral transportation to reach the ship.
Kissimmee is the county seat of Osceola County and the closest city to the Walt Disney World resort area on its south side. The places people ask us about most, from the airport side out:
Not every traveler on this corridor flies commercial. Kissimmee Gateway Airport is a general aviation airport used by private jets, charters, and flight schools, and it sits close to the US-192 resort area. Private passengers often prefer it to MCO for the short ground leg. We meet arrivals at the FBO handling your aircraft, so give us the FBO name or tail number with your arrival time. ISM to Old Town is about 8 miles; ISM to MCO, for a passenger connecting to a commercial flight, is about 19 miles and $230 in a Business Sedan.
For the airline side, the Orlando International Airport site lists which airlines use Terminals A, B, and C. Bus schedules and current routes are at LYNX, the Central Florida bus system; check it before you rely on transit, because routes and stop patterns change.
Locals use us for more than airport runs. Celebration and Kissimmee residents book a chauffeur service in Orlando for evenings out and business days, and corporate travelers visiting the area use our black car service in Orlando for meetings across the metro.
Book 48 hours ahead in an ordinary week and two to three weeks ahead in peak travel periods. Vehicles are assigned in booking order, and the SUVs and Sprinters go first.
Families fill the US-192 resorts and the vacation-home belt. Book 2-3 weeks ahead and reserve the return leg at the same time.
The busiest season for large rentals and Sprinter requests. Afternoon storms can delay flights; flight tracking covers that automatically.
Peak holiday travel at MCO. Book 3 weeks ahead, and plan extra time for the drive to the airport on the way home.
Usually 48 hours is plenty, and same-day requests often clear, subject to vehicle availability.
Booking the return at the same time is the most useful thing you can do. Rental check-out mornings are busy, and having the airport ride confirmed means one less thing to arrange on the last day of the trip. Corporate travelers can bill both legs to a company account.

Prices, distances, gated vacation homes, grocery stops, large groups, and Kissimmee Gateway Airport.
A private chauffeured ride between downtown Kissimmee and Orlando International Airport (MCO) is $210 all-in in a Business Sedan, $260 in a First Class SUV, and $660 in a Sprinter Van. From the US-192 hotel strip and Old Town the sedan price is $240, and from Celebration it is $240. Gratuity, tax, and card processing are inside every figure, the price is the same in both directions, and there is no surge pricing. Tolls are confirmed at booking.
About 15 road miles from MCO to downtown Kissimmee and 20 miles to Old Town on US-192, which is where most visitors actually stay. Plan on 25-40 minutes to downtown and 30-45 minutes to the US-192 resorts. The vacation-home belt farther west is longer: ChampionsGate is about 27 miles, Reunion 29 miles, and the Davenport communities near I-4 and US-27 about 31 miles.
It depends on the size of your group and how much you are carrying. A solo traveler with one bag can make rideshare work off-peak. A family of five with a week of luggage and a gated vacation home at the end of the drive is better served by a reserved SUV or Sprinter with a chauffeur who knows the gate procedure. Public transit exists (LYNX buses) but involves stops and transfers, and SunRail does not reach the airport. Driving a rental is sensible if you plan to drive every day of the trip; it is less sensible if the car will sit in a driveway while you use park transportation.
Yes. Many vacation-home communities in the Kissimmee and Davenport area have a staffed guard gate or a gate code. Give us the community name, the full street address, the name the rental is booked under, and any gate code or guest-list instructions from your host when you book. The chauffeur uses that information at the gate, and if a guard needs to call you, we will have your mobile number on the reservation.
Yes, and it is one of the most common requests on this route. Add the stop when you book, or tell the chauffeur at pickup. A quick supermarket stop near US-192 or Davenport usually adds 30 to 45 minutes. For a short stop, we confirm any added cost when you book; if the plan is a longer shop plus errands, booking the ride hourly at $120/hr for a Business Sedan or $150/hr for an SUV (3-hour minimum) is often simpler. The chauffeur waits with the luggage in the vehicle.
The First Class SUV carries 6 passengers and 6 large bags. Once you pass six travelers, or six people with more than six checked bags plus strollers, the Sprinter Van is the right call: up to 14 passengers and 12 bags in one vehicle, $700 all-in from MCO to the US-192 resorts. One Sprinter usually costs less than two SUVs and keeps the whole group together.
Yes. Kissimmee Gateway Airport is a general aviation airport used by private and charter aircraft, about 8 miles from Old Town on US-192. We meet arrivals at the FBO you are using. Give us the tail number or the FBO name and the expected arrival time when you book. ISM to the US-192 resorts is a short ride, and ISM to MCO for a connecting commercial flight is about 19 miles ($230 sedan, all-in).
Request them when you book and include each child's age and weight. We confirm availability for your date before the reservation is final. Please do not assume seats are in the vehicle unless your confirmation says so.
We track your flight in real time and move the pickup to your actual landing, not the scheduled one. The chauffeur meets you inside the terminal at baggage claim with a name sign. MCO has three passenger terminals (A, B, and C), so include your airline and flight number and we handle which one.
For ordinary weeks, 48 hours is usually enough, and shorter notice often works. For spring break, summer, Thanksgiving week, and the Christmas to New Year stretch, book two to three weeks ahead, and book the return to the airport at the same time. We are a reserved service, not an on-demand app; if you need a car in ten minutes, rideshare is faster.
